Lovely getaway only downside is you are right next to the owners house and I was expecting it to be on its own, I feel this should be advertised better so people know this. Apart from this no issues

We had a great stay. The accommodation, location and hot tub was perfect. Sue the owner was very helpful with locations for a meal and on hand if there was any problems. Not that we had any.

Let me start off by saying that this have a lovely setting that could not be improved by the owners (who were lovely) Hot Tub Fantastic. And value for money I could not of got a Travelodge cheaper But so people know what to experience before booking and don't give a bad review because of it. Firstly the lorries as someone else mentioned I stayed during the week and yes was from about 7am to 6pm you could hear lorries going past when in the hot tub. Secondly and for me (March) worse than the lorries were the crows who did not stop making such an awful noise from dawn to dusk so unlike the lorries where the noise would go theirs did not annoying trying to relax in the hot tub. Apart from those things which as I said nothing could be done about this is a lovely place and very private especially if you want to be away from other people. Great place with Hot Tub.

Hardly any pubs open in the day, could do with a dishwasher as there is plenty of room for one

We had a lovely 3 night stay in Hilltop with a nice relaxing hot tub. The cottage had all you need. Sue was a very welcoming host. The canal walks were lovely as we had nice weather. If you are thinking of just staying at the cottage and not travelling out and about, take some shopping with you as there is nothing really close by. All in all a lovely break and would definitely go back.
