The lodges are clean and tidy, but very close together and so we felt a lack of privacy in general, but especially when using the Jacuzzi. There is also a Lack of general facilities that come with the Lodge itself. We booked the kids in for an activity day and they did in all fairness enjoy that. We went to the nearby Marwell hotel and had the worst service for a meal we have ever encountered. The pool is really small too and not suited for families. I understand they are separate entities, but you market it as somewhere to use and as an integral part of your facilities.... for us Shorefields in the Forest is far better value and equipped for a family

Clean and spacious lodge with lovely outside space and hot tub. Peaceful and in a great location for local attractions. The play barn onsite was a real bonus for us. We didn't eat in the bistro but this was more of a cafe attached to the play barn. Our only real complaint is the need for some of the furnishing to be replaced or updated. The sofa was extremely well used and tired. It was uncomfortable with no padding left in the cushions. The glasses, cups and cutlery are all very well used and the ironing board cover was nonexistent due to all the burns and holes it in! For us it was the small details that would make this place 5*. However, with all this being said, we wouldn't hesitate to return!

We found the Typhoon Lodge fantastic. It was very well laid out, and having the Sauna, Whirlpool Bath and Hot tub made each evening a fantastic relaxing way to end each day. The area is very quiet which is great, and it was a great base for us to travel around and see places. It would have been nice to have the car parked next to the lodge but this is a minor negative. It was very nice to see the whole place full as well. Would recommend the site

This is an excellent place to stay, location is a perfect base camp for exploring. If you have children bonuses include the on site indoor Play Barn and Marwell Zoo is about 1 mile away. The food at the bistro was lovely and highly recommend the Sunday Roast. All the staff we met or spoke to were very friendly and always helpful.

Great girls weekend away. The lodge had more than we expected (an oven) it was reasonably priced for a weekend. The only minor downside was when we asked for milk (which was noted on the website) the lady who brought it over was a bit shirty. However, when our hot water wasn’t working a gentleman came to fix that and he was very pleasant. I would come back and I have suggested it to friends already.
