I booked a last minute weekend break for a family of 6 and booked a 3 bedroom gold plus caravan. It was very nice I just had an issue with the towels situation. There was nothing in the booking process or confirmation to say there would be no towels so we didn’t bring any apart from pool towels. There was absolutely nothing, no tea towels, no bath mats or hand towels! Surely customers should bring those. I rang reception to be told towels are only provided to lodges and I can buy some from supermarket close by!! However, I got a phone call the next morning to ask how the stay was going and I mentioned the situation with the towels and they lady kindly bought some towels, bath mat and hand towels to our caravan, why this couldn’t be done on the first day I do not know but grateful it was done. Another point to note is there are not enough plug points. Just one in the twin bedrooms and what with so many items to charge nowadays it’s not enough. Overall we had a great time though.

Small park, good caravan, limited facilities. Advertising misleading.

Caravan was dirty and very basic ! Clean sheets were shoved in a bin liner and left for you , cooker not working properly, bad smell on entering and was there for the duration of a week , dog poo on the grass , swimming pool closed and had to book a session

The caravan was lovely. Clean, spacious and well stocked. The park itself, though, was lacking. The swimming pool was small and we were told if we wanted a swim in the afternoon, we would have to book it in the morning. The wi-fi was terrible. We paid for a week's wi-fi, and only received it for 3 days. The company supplying the wi-fi has refused to refund any of our payment. The shop opening hours were not clear and we had to return to the nearest town for our groceries after the shop was closed at 4pm, when we were informed it was 5pm.

We had booked a gold caravan. It was small not the picture on the booking. There was a problem with the lock on the main door and the bathroom lock was not working properly. The toilet smelled, there was rust running down the bathroom radiator, and the toilet roll holder came off the wall. We have had gold caravans before with park holidays and they were a lot bigger. This was small and we thought that we had been put in a bronze or silver caravan, not for what we paid.

It was good to have break in your busy live away from home..

The state of the first caravan offered was very poor with cushions that had been left upright to dry and the foldaway living room bed left open for the same reason and large urine stains. The second unit was better but still had a smell until we opened all the windows, disinfected the bathrooms, also no shelves in the oven. A number of families being longterm 'residents' with the husbands going to work and children going to school. Very different from when we first stayed at this park.

Good value for money. Staff helpful and dealt with any queries promptly. Would have liked to have know times and activities each day in advance for the children so able to plan the day. Some rubbish around caravan. Otherwise good break

the good bits about Marlie Holiday Park, it is small and quiet. If that is what you like then this is the place for you. We go to these Holiday Parks for the sake of the kids, this is where Marlie was a big let down. Firstly, there is a very small play area which the kids run though it is about ten minutes then are looking for something else to do. The pool is run a very strict schedule regardless of anyone actually in the pool. The pool is a very small and very dirty place, myself and my daughter were in the wading pool and we were picking hair and dirty bits off of us, the floor around the pool is very dirty as well. The arcade games room is very small and offer very little entertainment for the money. The restaurant does not have a menu suited for kids, there is no kids menu at all. It is difficult to even buy food in the restaurant, I took the kids in the restaurant at lunch time for a plate of chips and was told the kitchen was closed until 5:00 p.m. to get to the beach you have to drive, then to try and find parking is almost impossible, so we could not get to the beach. We were booked for three night and left after two nights, the kids were making jokes about Marlie and how we would never go back. For the cost Marlie charges there are much better Holiday Parks to go to. It was a very over priced stay and was a big let down.
