Lovely lodge just very very tired and in need of some work. Downstairs toilet smelt, upstairs toilet kept flushing, seal was hanging off in the downstairs shower unit. Didn’t like the position of our lodge - right by the entrance so wasn’t very private. Lodges were basic, feel for the price we paid we expected a lot more. Prices do not reflect the facilities. If prices were more reasonable We would go again. We ended up leaving a day earlier. Have already booked a very similar lodge in a forest for less than half the price in the middle of summer.

Parking was very poor The Hoseasons brochure / website showed lodges beside a picturesque lake, lodge five was beside an unattractive pond with a footpath between the lodge and the pond

We booked this because we have 3 small dogs. We were given lodge 29 for our 7 night stay holiday. Check-in was easy and the staff very friendly. When we entered the lodge we were overcome by the smell of dog urine and the welcome carpet had dirt all over it. The smell was absolutely awful and it felt to us that the lodge had not been cleaned. We returned to reception to complain and ask for another lodge. The Manager advised us all other lodges were fully booked for the week, however he would get the lodge fully cleaned and gave us a complimentary meal and drinks. Got to say the Manager was very apologetic. On returning the urine smell in the lodge had gone but there was a strong smell of urine on the decking. The lodge was very tired looking and needed some tlc. The paint was heavily chipped in the en-suite with a very old electric shower . The carpeting was coming away, frayed and creased in some areas. We didn’t bother complaining about anything else because we didn’t want it to ruin our stay. Overall Deerpark Forest is in a beautiful setting and the staff are very friendly, however we will not return to Deerpark or any other Forest holiday site because of what we experienced. We’ve stayed in many Hoseason dog friendly sites over the years and this was the worst accommodation we have ever stayed in.

We had a lovely family holiday as we met up with our eldest son, who had his own accommodation with his family. The surrounding areas were calming and the hot tub relaxing. All the staff we spoke to were very helpful. We went on the teddy bears picnic with our young grandson. Thankyou it was amazing and we will have a Forrest holiday again definitely.

Wonderful place , so relaxing and the best of all , no internet signal which really helps you wind down from a very stressful job. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the hot tub experience was just amazing, especially in such a beautiful peaceful setting and surrounded by nature. The accomodation was lovely and very clean. Overall a really lovely break and very good value for money , one which we will look forward to experiencing again as soon as we can.
