A fantastic few days away with the family to celebrate a special birthday.

Excellent, however a problem was none of the 8 fused switches in the kitchen were marked as to what they powered. We had to operate each one to find what appliance they connected. Before we understood this the freezer was switched off in error and resulted in its frozen contents having to be destroyed. Also there were no instructions for using any of the electrical or gas appliances etc. Finally we would have expected matress protectors to be fitted as standard on the beds which we not.

Excellent overall, but bed not particularly comfortable and there was a significant amount of black mould in the en-suite shower.

Our lodge was very spacious and we enjoyed the setting and our enormous verandah. Lots of room for all to sit on comfy sofas. Double bed was a bit tired and squeaky. Very impressed with the massive amount of storage. Bit disappointed that there was no welcome pack of basics (tea bags etc) in the kitchen on arrival or supply of tea towels in the linen package. Description of what is included in the lodges are fairly sketchy on website such as if hairdryer is included and items such as airer, ironing board etc. Was pleased to see that all this was provided when we arrived. A improved feature on the website information would be to have a floorplan layout of the different lodges.

We had a lovely holiday at Warmwell, having been upgraded for free which was a lovely surprise on arrival. Plenty for our 3 boys aged 2-7 to do. Some thing we only managed to try once as there was so much to do in the park and surrounding area. My boys loved the ski slope, soft play and swimming pool especially. Lovely staff and great setting.

Warmwell was a lovely place to stay, beautiful setting and the wild deer were lovely for the children to get up close to. Our kids loved the park and entertainment. The bar, shop, restaurant and chip shop were great value for money. The only down fall was the lack of customer service from the reception staff. They seemed unknowledgeable, disinterested and rude. Went to see if our lodge was ready told to go back at 14:30 which we did and they said sorry it's still not ready, had they said it's only a possiblity it may be ready at 14:30 we could have gone and done something for the day. Still wasn't ready at 4pm but they couldn't care less. There was a queue a mile long of very unhappy people. When we arrived at the lodge the beds still hadn't been made. We got not so much as an apology, an enjoy yours stay or how was your stay? Very ignorant and lacking people skills. This won't put us off going back though. Weymouth is a fantastic place, lovely beaches, the Sealife Centre is a must in the summer as it has a splash pool and water fountains so take your swim wear and the kids will have a ball. They do a toddler and adult discount midweek term time. Also get 2 for 1in places like McDonalds and the back of some food packets etc so makes it almost half the on the door price.

The lodge (Dorchester) was very nice. Nice veranda, all the plates and cutlery etc. you need. The location was very nice and scenic. Also, there is quite a bit to do on site: swimming, skiing etc. Things that could be improved: the service in the bar / restaurant was slow - e.g. ten to fifteen minute queue to order a meal. Also, some of the facilities were a bit worn - e.g. the crazy golf course was dilapidated, the swimming pool changing rooms a bit grotty. Overall, we enjoyed it and will return.

On the whole we were really pleased with everything. It was a lot of money to pay out for just 4 nights as it was half term. Think it is about time something was done to make it more affordable for families during school holidays.
